If the speaker is connected to a device, but not receiving any audio input, it will automatically turn off in about 10-15 minutes. When the speaker is in idle (not connected to any device) it will turn off in about 15-60 seconds. The JBL GO 3 also has an automatic shut off feature. The battery life has not been an issue I’ve never had it shut off due to low battery and I use it quite often.

There is a power button, bluetooth connect button, volume buttons, and a pause/play button. I haven’t had any issues when connecting a new device or having a friend connect, which is great! I’d also like to mention how quick and easy it is to connect to a device. It also has an unexpected bass response for its small size! Really has a good OOMPH! Surprisingly loud for such a small unit and the sound doesn’t distort even at max volume. This mini speaker has good volume and projection. Not to mention waterproof and dustproof, so taking it to the park or the beach is safe! I've used it outside on a rainy day, while hiking, around a campfire, and quite often in my apartment. I have the black/grey one and the woven exterior is very visually appealing. It has a premium look and feel with a clip loop making it even easier to take with you.
